Call for MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship Applicants
I am happy to support strong candidates interested in applying for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA PF) with my group at Aalto University / ELLIS Institute Finland.
My group works on trustworthy and efficient machine learning, with a particular focus on topics such as:
- generative models, including diffusion models, flow models, and controllable generation;
- meta-learning, continual learning, and test-time adaptation;
- robustness, fairness, privacy, and reliable learning under distribution shift;
- theory and algorithms for data-efficient and computation-efficient machine learning;
- applications in scientific discovery, including molecules, healthcare, and other interdisciplinary domains.
I welcome applicants who are excited about developing principled machine learning methods with both theoretical foundations and practical impact. Candidates with backgrounds in machine learning, statistics, optimization, generative modeling, trustworthy AI, or related areas are especially encouraged to get in touch.
The MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship is a highly competitive European funding scheme supporting excellent postdoctoral researchers who wish to carry out research abroad, acquire new skills, and develop their careers. The 2026 call is currently open, with a submission deadline of 9 September 2026, 17:00 CEST.
Interested applicants should contact me as early as possible with:
- a CV;
- a short research statement or project idea;
- one or two representative publications;
- a brief explanation of why my group would be a good host environment for the proposed project.
Please send enquiries to my email.
